Question: Who is BlinkTag?

Answer:

BlinkTag Inc. is a small, San Francisco-based technology consulting firm that specializes in online and mobile applications for transit and city planning. Our clients include local governments, realtors, and (progressive) politicians, and our flexible team of employees and consultants has a solution for any and all of your technology needs.

Question: How do I report a problem or make a suggestion?

Answer:

Email us at info@anystopapp.com.

Question: What if my agency is not listed?

Answer:

We are constantly rolling out more applications as feeds become available. Check back soon.

Question: How often are your data updated?

Answer:

Even though we wish we ran a transit agency, we do not, and GTFS feeds are updated on an agency-by-agency timetable. We constantly monitor the latest releases and roll them in as soon as we can.

Question: Where do you get the data?

Answer:

Anystop uses a combination of Google Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) and real-time AVL feeds powered by NextBus (where available). BlinkTag supports open data standards, and uses free and open feeds wherever it can (props to Portland’s TriMet and the Bay Area’s BART as two excellent examples of how to do it right). However, where open feeds are’t available, we’ve partnered with NextBus to bring you the most current information available.

Question: Can I hire you to build an app for me?
